Pastor Eric is the first full-time director of Camp Shalom. Previously, he has worked as a YMCA youth and family program director, a camp program director, a parish youth minister and a camp associate director. An ordained Lutheran pastor, Pastor Eric served a congregation in Pennsylvania prior to moving to Iowa. He is married to Peggy and they have two children, Britta and Peter.

This is the face connected to the voice you hear when calling the Camp Shalom office. Amy handles all camper registrations, retreat bookings and any questions you might have. Amy is married to Jeff Koehler and they have two daughters, Elizabeth and Andrea.

Maggie joined the Shalom staff in the fall of 2008. A former camper, Maggie worked on our summer staff throughout college. Following her graduation from Wartburg College , she served as a Youth Director for Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence , IA. Maggie has experience in organizing and leading youth groups and working with people of all ages. She lives on site at camp with her husband Jason, their dog Sadie, and is the person to greet you when you arrive at camp. |

Dwayne joined the Camp Shalom staff on a full-time basis in January of 2005. His responsibilities include the coordination, supervision and implementation of the camp’s maintenance plan. Dwayne enjoys the outdoors and the Christian mission of Camp Shalom. He and his wife, Becky, live in Baldwin, IA with their three children, Crystal, Joshua and Elizabeth.

During the school year Rose cooks and bakes for the Maquoketa school system. In the summer she joins our staff to help provide great food and a warm smile. Rose also is the person who works with the volunteer cooks.
