The Outpost is where things really begin to take off!

Campers stay in tree-house cabins that are located in a secluded area of camp that offers the ultimate camp experience. Outpost campers will cook their own breakfast and eat meals in the Outpost pavilion, which also serves as a shower house. Outpost campers are encouraged to create some of their own activities and explore their abilities in overcoming new and different challenges.

Entering grades: 7-8
Cost: $485
Check-in: between 2-4 pm on Sunday / Check-out: Thursday, TBD
The Outpost I experience includes Camp Shalom’ s high ropes course and an epic caving adventure in the caverns and mud pits at Maquoketa Caves State Park. Campers will participate in the week-long Outpost Challenge, a fun competition between cabin groups featuring the vaunted Iron Chef Breakfast event. Outpost campers enjoy a higher degree of autonomy and more “hang-out” time than Village campers.
