FAMILY CAMP
Family Camp is one of the hidden treasures of Camp Shalom. It provides families an amazing opportunity to play, rest, learn, and grow together. Discover the joy of spending a weekend together in a time and place apart.
Led by the Camp Shalom summer staff, families are invited to help plan campfire services, toast marshmallows for s’mores, participate in camp activities, and play games. On Saturday, staff lead children in games while the adults meet for Bible Study. The afternoon is spent canoeing on the Maquoketa River, shooting arrows at the archery range, and making crafts. We also take a staff-led trip to the Maquoketa Caves and offer high ropes challenge course activities.
